Activity 301- Advantages of CSS
CSS allows the user to format HTML pages with one single style sheet. This means that several pages can be formatted without having to write several pages of CSS code. External style sheets can be created t give many pages consistency. Also, the tags used in CSS code allows the user to select sections of HTML code to format rather than each tag individually.
Activity 203- Using Web 2.0 Publishing
Facebook allows you to publish;
- Pictures
- Text
- Status Updates
- Media i.e. videos
- Links to other webpages
Advantages
- Publishing images on Facebook is easy as there is a simple upload tool. Viewing images is also easy as whenever someone adds pictures, the homepage is updates with links straight to their profile page
- When publishing text on Facebook, there are several options. You can either post your ideas on the general homepage which is updated on everybody’s homepage, or you can publish ideas on your profile page which can be viewed, but only when someone clicks on your page.
- Media files can easily be added to your profile, where you can tag people so that it also appears on their homepage
- Publishing status updates allows you to publish short sentences which can be viewed by everybody
Disadvantages
- As there are several ways of publishing text, it can become confusing for the user if they are not experienced at using Facebook
- There are several photo galleries depending on who uploads the pictures and who is tagged within them. Again this can become confusing if the user is not experienced

Consistency- i.e. colours and fonts should be consistent on all web pages
Colour- Aesthetically pleasing with an appropriate degree of contrast
Font- Clear and Legible
Accessibility Options- i.e. options to change the font size etc for people with visual impairments
Layout- A clear layout which does not confuse the user
Navigation- Clear navigation such as menus and links
